Family and Pets

My family (including both humans and animals) is the most important part of my life in all aspects. I have a wonderful family which has grown by leaps and bouds even within the last few years. I am satisfied completely with what I come home to everyday and would not change it for all the world.

Furs and Scales

The animal department of our family has also grown enormously, though not without a few heartbreaking losses. The most recent one was in February. Sugar, a half-persian kitty and my best friend of nearly ten years, passed over to the Summerlands. While I was at the pound watching her go, I noticed another adult cat sitting in a cage up front. A week later, Pepper became a part of our family. By then, we had already adoped Baldur (cat) from some friends of ours and Gypsy (blk lab) had come from a woman who found her abandoned in Littlerock. Apollo (ylw lab/chow) came to us later, rescued by a woman whose coworker had abused him and talked constantly about shooting him (poor puppy!). The turtles 'Turtle' (RES) and 'Squirtle' (PT) are property of my stepson. Our newest addition is Mnementh, the bearded dragon.
